Why verify your name?

Having a physical Voter ID card is not enough to vote on election day. **Your name must be present in the active electoral roll** of your constituency.

If your name is not listed, you will not be permitted to vote, even if you show a physical Voter ID card. Verify your details beforehand.

Methods to Search Name in Electoral Roll

The Election Commission of India offers three methods for voters to verify their inclusion on the digital portal:

1. Search by Details: Search using demographic parameters. Enter spelling details: First Name, Surname, Date of Birth or Age, Gender, District, and Assembly Constituency. Useful if you do not know your Voter ID card number.
2. Search by EPIC: The fastest search method. Enter your unique alphanumeric EPIC number and select your state. The system fetches constituency details and polling booth addresses.
3. Search by Mobile: Enter your registered mobile number and state. Click "Send OTP" to receive a verification pin. On validation, all voter records linked to that mobile are shown.

What details are shown in results?

Once your name is located, click "View Details" to see your **Voter Slip**. The details shown are:

State, District, and Assembly Constituency (AC)
Polling Station Address (Where to go to vote)
Serial Number in the Voter Roll
Booth Level Officer (BLO) name and contact details
Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) details

Next Steps if Name is Missing

If your name is not found in the search:

Verify your spelling or try searching by EPIC code.
If you recently shifted, check if your name is listed at your old residence.
If the name is deleted, submit a fresh registration application (Form 6) online.
